This news is the result of a study conducted by NCIC clinical trials group at Queen's University, Ontario, Canada. the results of the study presented in this year of the American Society of Clinical Oncology meeting in Chicago. The New England Journal of Medicine published a study, which ran for 5 years and included more than 4,500 women living in North America, Spain, France and women in this study were already menopausal and were identified as at high risk for breast cancer.

This is not the first time an hormonal therapy has examined as chemoprevention for breast cancer Tamoxifen. issued widely in many pre-and post-menopausal women after treatment for estrogen-sensitive breast cancer returning. prevents breast cancer by blocking estrogen receptors, estrogen production stops but not downside to Tamoxifen., and the reason that many patients do not receive the full five years is the template callthe Tamoxifen causes side effects. "-such as hot flashes, menopause, night sweats and raises the risk for stroke, cataracts and endometrium.

Aromasin is milder side effects than Tamoxifen and works differently. block estrogen and Tamoxifen prevents estrogen production Aromasin. aromatase inhibitor Aromasin is often given to patients with post-menopausal breast cancer who have completed treatment for estrogen-sensitive breast cancer drugs would benefit neither. patients who have estrogen receptor negative breast tumors, such as the Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC).

Don't rush and ask your doctor to provide breast cancer prevention as exemestane just yet. more studies should be made to benefits and risks are, and its effectiveness in preventing the growth of breast tumors in women at high risk. But if the research holds, this drug may prevent much anticipatory mastectomies in young and old women who have had the genetic test and found to have a strong family history, as well as a genetic predisposition for breast cancer for women who don't bother an early case of hot flashes in order to prevent the volume of the chest, the side effects of exemestane does not seem too bad.
